  1. I doubt if there is such a thing as a completely or even partially original story that’s possible in humankind today. All the book plots, characters, themes, etc. have been fully explored. Many of these elements were already in circulation before the printing press was invented and surely before worldwide mass distribution of content.
    The slant, attitude and application of storylines, etc. can be fairly original but that’s about as far as the originality can go. Certainly copying precise quotations are usually only employed by those who don’t have a creative bone in their body and so they plagarize. A pox on those underhanded characters, but for the rest of us… we try and maybe we borrow while only accomplishing about 5 to 20% “originality” if that much.
