I’m not an American, but I am concerned about what is happening there. It will, and already is, affect the whole world.
After reading this, I felt I must reblog it. Many of my followers, and others who read my blog occasionally, are from the US and are worried about the way things are going.
Mike isn’t the only one affected in this way. Millions of others are, too.

Dissent is growing. Republican constituents are complaining at town halls about the current bill passed by the House cutting medicaid. Protests in major cities are steadily growing each weekend. Peaceful protests in LA against ICE are center stage this week. We cannot afford to get discouraged because that is the intention of the scattershot everything everywhere at once tactics coming from Washington.

Thank you for sharing, Viv. Mike might as well have read my mind. He explained perfectly the reason why I haven’t written anything since the November election, why I feel so outraged and distraught. Even if the US survives the monster, it will never be the same.

Mike’s concerns are very real. There seems to be no foresight offered by the administration on how disabled people will cope as their support evaporates. Trump paints a portrait of ‘freeloaders’ which seems to be popular with his base. No one takes the time to understand the reality of the situations people are in. America is rapidly turning into the land of hate.
