I’m back from my holiday, but am now, as the title says, not in a good place. I have lost my enthusiasm for writing and haven’t done any for weeks. I hope this passes.
Personal things have raised their heads, too. I don’t want to go into them, but they are affecting how I feel about things.
I can’t bring myself to write my regular blog post at the moment, but I will still visit and comment on your posts. I may even reblog some if that’s OK.
I hope things will get back to normal soon.

So sorry to hear that you’re not your usual self, Viv. I’ve felt out of sorts for quite some time. If nothing else, the world is a mess. I also can’t seem to write, and as you know, I’m barely blogging.
I hope your blues are short-lived, my friend. But I know that’s easier said than done. My best to you. Huge hugs. ❤

Sorry you’re out of sorts, Diana. I think it’s the state of the world that’s partly to blame. And I also have a personal worry that I can do nothing about as it involves someone else who seems to think it’ll just go away, but it won’t!

My country is causing so much of the world’s turmoil and that makes me furious. I also know people who say it will get better, that the pendulum of human history swings to extremes and recovers. And though that may be true, in the short term there is so much suffering. I can’t help feeling for all those people who are losing everything, including their lives. May we both see a brighter future in our lifetimes.

I agree with you. The long term isn’t much comfort to those who’ve lost everything.

Hi Viv, I’m sorry to read this. Usually a holiday makes you enthusiastic for a while. I’ll send you the link to our interview tomorrow and post my review to Goodreads and Amazon.

I’m sorry to hear you’re “off-kilter”! I know the feeling. Lately I’ve been working on a writing project that I volunteered for but my heart is not quite in it, so I keep putting off getting it done. However, you’re probably dealing with something more serious–and it’s OK to back off, take a breath, give yourself some time. Maybe do something else you enjoy or that occupies your mind. Then… who knows. We all can’t just keep doing some things forever. I’m sure you’ll be OK. God bless you and take care, RJ Mirabal

Thank you Anneli. I’m sure things will improve. Just at the moment, I can’t manage to get round to writing.
